Dear friends,
Welcome to the official website of the Karnataka Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons (KAPRAS). It's both an honor and privilege to serve as the President of this esteemed organization. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my mentor, Dr. Tilak, the founding President whose guidance led to the establishment of KAPRAS. As the founding Secretary, I take pride in our collective efforts to strengthen KAPRAS into a formidable association.
Our commitment lies in advancing the science and practice of plastic surgery while upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. Unity is our cornerstone for achieving this goal.
Plastic surgery is a field that's constantly evolving, encompassing reconstructive procedures, aesthetic advancements, and cutting-edge technologies. Our unwavering dedication to delivering the best possible outcomes for our patients is what sets us apart. As a team, we are dedicated to raising awareness about Plastic Surgery and Burns in various districts of our state in the upcoming 12 months.
I have outlined a comprehensive calendar of events for the year ahead. This includes regular bimonthly academic meetings, PG teaching programs, monthly Plastic Surgery and Burns awareness initiatives in different districts of Karnataka, as well as some extracurricular activities, few bonding sessions, celebrating the World Plastic Surgery Day, and our Annual State Conference. With the active participation and support of KAPRAS members, I am confident that we can successfully execute these events.
On this website, you'll find information about upcoming events, conferences, and seminars hosted by our association and others. Members are encouraged to share their professional and personal achievements, accolades, and honors, which will be showcased and celebrated, as suggested by our past President, Dr. Anantheshwar.
Our website also features a directory of plastic surgeons practicing across the state, making it easier for connections to be established.
A pressing need in India is a Burn Registry, and KAPRAS aims to initiate one in our state. I urge all of you to complete the one-page form available on this website with details of the burn patients you treat.
We eagerly look forward to welcoming new members who share our commitment to excellence in plastic surgery.
Sincerely yours,
Dr Smitha S Segu
President
